  • 2 15.5-oz. cans garbanzo beans, rinsed and patted dry
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • dash of chipotle pepper powder (use quantity desired)
  • dash of salt (optional)

Garbanzo Nuts

Healthy snacks are easy to make, like our garbanzo nuts. Tossed with chipotle spices and slowly roasted, these nuts add a crunchy kick to snack time.
Nutritional Information Per Serving: 
  • 160 calories per serving

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Line a jellyroll pan (cookie sheet with a rim) with aluminum foil or parchment paper.

Place garbanzo beans in a medium-sized bowl. Add olive 
oil and chipotle pepper or other herbs and combine well.

Place on baking pan and bake for two hours (monitor so they don’t start to burn).

Turn off the heat and leave the garbanzo beans in the 
oven as they cool and become a crunchy “nut.” (This usually takes a few hours. For best results, let them cool overnight.)

Store in an airtight container.

Makes six 1/3 -cup servings
